BanerOn March 28, 2025, we celebrated the III National Day of Materials Science and Engineering, a special event designed to introduce participants to the captivating world of materials and promote materials engineering among youth and science enthusiasts.

During the "Polymers in Medicine" classes, high school students will learn about two popular methods of polymer formation: 3D printing and electrospinning. Electrospinning allows the creation of ultra-thin fibers that can be used, for example, in the regeneration of nervous tissue. 3D printing is commonly used to build three-dimensional structures with a specific geometry. We will present the possibilities of an electron microscope for imaging the developed substrates. Using the example of the smartPiezo m.era-net 2024 project, we will discuss the use of these technologies in the development of intelligent multifunctional scaffolds for the regeneration of cartilage and bone tissue.
