About me

About me

I am a strongly motivated Ph.D. student interested in polymers for biomaterials from the point of tissue engineering applications and also drug delivery systems. My scientific curiosity in this field has started with my bachelor’s thesis and it has continued with deep investigations through my master’s degree.  And I am here at the Laboratory of Polymers and Biomaterials where I can combine the knowledge I have learned and showcase my skills thanks to my previous experience.

Education and professional experience

2021-In progress: Doctoral School of Information and Biomedical Technologies, Bioengineering and Medical Sciences, PhD Student

2019-2021: İzmir University of Economics-Department of Bioengineering, İzmir/Turkey, Master’s Degree

Master Thesis: Development of Poly(lactic acid) Films Incorporated with Almond Skin Extract

-Polymer film production by solvent casting method, characterization studies; mechanical, structural, thermal, physicochemical, gas barrier, morphological propeties and antioxidant activity

2013-2018: Ege University-Department of Biochemistry Majored in Biotechnology, İzmir/Turkey, Bachelor’s Degree

Bachelor Thesis: Solid Lipid Nanoparticle (SLN) Synthesis for Glioblastoma (GBM) Treatment

SLN which allows controlled drug release synthesis was completed with hot homogenization and the structural characterizations were performed.
